An Open Letter to Matisyahu on Behalf of His Chicago Fans

Dear Matisyahu,

Those yutzes were probably from out of town, anyway.

All our love,
Alan and Miriam of Stereo Sinai
- on behalf of your Chicago area fans

Last night, Matisyahu (the foremost pioneer of our genre) played a show that was opened by the Wailers (the foremost pioneers of his genre) at Ravinia, which is arguably one of the best venues in the Chicagoland area. It was freaking awesome until some real grade-A jerks ruined the evening. Just as he was about to perform his last song for the night, his biggest hit “King Without a Crown,” these out-of-towners rushed the stage trying to get up on the stage with him. The details are fuzzy, but suffice it to say that it became a security issue, and ultimately the song, along with the concert, was cut short. Many of us Chicago fans went home very disappointed and embarrassed by the situation.

So on behalf of the city of Chicago, thanks for your wonderful performance, Matisyahu. Please come back again soon.

But be sure to let us know when so we can close the borders.
